ss: lessons learned in little spaces

Life has been busy;  stretching the firefly world.

I am grateful though after spending a good deal of Thanksgiving break within the confines of 20 square feet (mom’s living room).  My firefly was sick.

My nieces played nurse taking his temperature between movies and quarters of football games.  I think he ate all of what he normally would take in on a single breakfast setting over the space of several days.   Other than thanksgiving itself, we didn’t dress up.  Everyone lived in their pajamas.

Still it was a sweet holiday finding comfort in simple company, seeing that life can be beautiful without dressing it up, and that fun memories can be made on a couch.

We drew pictures, played games, read stories out loud, practiced adding and subtractions, watched movies….

Appetite for food down… appetite for enjoying life healthy.

It was a happy thanksgiving.
